Terms & Conditions of VITA Membership
1. Membership Applications
1.1 Applications for membership are subject to acceptance by VITA directors who reserve the right to refuse an application.
1.2 Membership is by invite only.
2.0 Membership, Payments, Renewals and Cancellations
2.1 Membership payments should be made by Standing Order and will be collected on the 1st of each calendar month until cancelled. Annual payments should be paid in advance by bank transfer and are not refundable.
2.2 Members are required to give two months cancellation notice in writing.
2.3 Payments for VITA Extra, quarterly events and VITA merchandise should be made by bank transfer within fourteen days of invoice.
2.4 Membership will be suspended if payments are not received within 14 days from date of invoice. Membership charges will continue to accrue until full payment is received.
2.5 Membership fees will be reviewed on a periodic basis and Members will receive a minimum of 30 days’ notice when changes are made.
2.6 VITA membership does not grant membership rights to the hosting Golf Club.
2.7 In the event of a scheduled meeting being cancelled due to course closure, VITA will not refund or credit the relevant membership charge. It is expected that a meeting will still go ahead for networking purposes.
2.8 VITA will take instruction from host Golf Club before cancelling a scheduled event. Every effort will be made to reschedule an event, but VITA cannot guarantee all events.
2.9 Lapsed members may return to VITA and will be subject to a £55+VAT administration fee.
2.10 VITA reserves the right to withdraw membership.
3.0 VITA Extra
3.1 VITA Extra allows you to play one additional meeting per month and will charged at £20 +VAT which will be added to your monthly membership fee.
3.2 Additional monthly meeting must be booked via email at info@getvita.co.uk and is subject to clause 2.7.
3.3 Cancellation of VITA EXTRA should be made in writing and will be subject to one months’ notice.
4.0 Visitors
4.1 Visitors may attend a scheduled meeting up to four times a year. A £50 +VAT meeting fee will apply and will be invoiced in advance of the meeting date.
4.2 Visitors who join VITA at their initial meeting will receive a full refund of their meeting fee.
4.3 If a visitor is considered unsuitable for membership, it is the member’s responsibility to inform VITA as soon as possible.
5.0 VITA Corporate
5.1 Corporate members may send a substitute if they are unable to attend a scheduled meeting. The substitute must work within the same organisation and should inform VITA prior to the event of the replacement’s contact details. VITA reserves the right to refuse entry to a nominated representative
5.2 Corporate members may bring a guest along to a scheduled meeting as part of their monthly membership fee.
6.0 Personal Data and Loss
6.1 VITA will use your personal data for networking, quarterly events, online database and golf events, as detailed in our Privacy and GDPR policies, which are available on our website: www.getvita.co.uk
6.2 VITA does not take any responsibility for the actions or claims through loss of goods, accidental damage, theft, or personal injury. Members should understand the risks involved in golf and non-golf related events and accept that participation is at their own risk.
7.0 Variation of Terms & Conditions
7.1 Terms and conditions may be revised from time to time, and you will be notified by email of such changes.
8.0 VITA Code of Conduct
8.1 Members must always act in the interest of the wider community, respect fellow members and adhere to the dress code and rules of the hosting golf club.
8.2 Failure to comply with these Terms and the VITA code of conduct will result in termination of membership.
9.0 Dispute Resolution
9.1 Disputes between members should be dealt with privately by the members in question.
9.2 Escalation of a dispute will be considered and actioned by the directors of VITA.
